Acting Network Director, Allied Health - Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, NSW
Paula Bray is the acting Network Director of Allied Health for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network and Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at The University of Sydney based at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Paula is an occupational therapist and clinical- researcher whose research interests include measuring and improving clinical care and rehabilitation management for children with nerve and muscle disease. Paula has over 17 years of clinical and research experience in nerve and muscle diseases of childhood.
Over the past 5 years, Paula has specifically focused on better translation of evidence into practice for children with neuromuscular disease including the development of an allied health and nursing clinical practice guideline for assessment and management of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Paula divides her time between leading allied health across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network and working as part of an internationally NIH funded study, the ACT-CMT study, which aims to accelerate clinical trial readiness in the peripheral nerve disorder Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
