Felicity is the senior physiotherapist for psychological medicine at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, working with young people affected by mental illness and their families. Her role spans the inpatient mental health unit, the eating disorders inpatient unit and day program, and the consult liaison mental health team working predominantly with patients with Functional Neurological Disorders.
Felicity completed her physiotherapy degree at the University of Sydney, and went on to complete a Graduate Diploma of Psychological Studies at the University of Queensland. She has a special interest in how stress and psychological health impact physical health, and equally how different forms of exercise, breathwork and relaxation practices can support people with mental illness. She is also a qualified yoga teacher and iRest Yoga Nidra practitioner. Passionate about staff wellbeing, Felicity facilitates on the Mindfulness-based Wellness and Compassion program for staff. She is a member of the APA Mental Health Special Interest Group and the International Council of Physiotherapy in Psychiatry and Mental Health.
