    Ellen Lake graduated from Queensland University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and in 1981 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy First Class Honours. She has worked extensively in inpatient hospital care and in clinical practice and exercise based therapy for people presenting with physical and mental health issues. Ellen is currently a team member at Active Rehabilitation Physiotherapy in Brisbane.

    Ellen is National Chair of the APA Mental Health Committee and is currently completing a Masters of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. She believes strongly in the organisational principles of Lived Experience Leadership, Compassionate and Connected Care and Enhanced Workforce Capability, and believes physiotherapists can play an important role in supporting physical and mental health.

    Ellen has a daughter, two sons and 5 grand-children, who continue to delight and amaze her and enjoys running and writing poetry.
