Deepali is working as advanced pharmacist in QEII Jubilee Hospital in Brisbane. She completed her Masters in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Queensland, Brisbane in 2013. She works across many complex clinical areas in hospital including heart failure, pain management in musculoskeletal conditions, smoking cessation and surgical pre-admission clinics. Her interests are cardiology (heart failure), smoking cessation and chronic disease management. She is also Accredited as a Consultant Pharmacist to conduct home medication reviews.
Deepali has published in several national and international peer reviewed journals and worked as associate editor for the Journal of Smoking Cessation. Deepali is two-time winner of National Prescribing Service (NPS) National Medicine Wise Award for her project and conference presentation. Deepali co-chaired the State-wide Respiratory Clinical Network (SRCN) in Queensland from 2017-2021 and has been involved in the development, implementation and review of nationally recognised Queensland Health’s Smoking Cessation Clinical pathway. She is currently co-chair of the State-wide Smoking Cessation workgroup and member of a number of advisory committees and panels in Queensland.
